How do I get my photos and video tapes to you?
We will give you detailed instructions on getting us your photos and videos after your initial consultation. We are here to help make this as easy as possible for you, so don't worry. Here are some of the options:

If the photos from your digital camera, you can copy them to a data CD or DVD and mail the disc to us. If you keep the photos on the memory card in your camera, you can mail us the card. Of if you upload your photos to a photo sharing site (Snapfish, Picasa), you just need to let us know where to find them.

If you have photo prints, negatives, or slides, you can send those to us after proper packaging. If you have concerns about putting them in the mail, you can have them scanned at a local photo shop.

For video, you need to mail the tapes to us. We can accept Mini DV, VHS, and 8mm tapes. If your video clips are from your digital still camera or mobile phone, you can copy the movie to a data CD or DVD and mail the disc to us or send us the memory card.

If you live in central North Carolina, you can make an appointment to give us your photos and videos in person.

Can I choose the music for my movie?
Yes. You can tell us the specific songs that you want or you can let us know what kind of music you enjoy, and we can make the choice for you. We can even suggest songs we think will work well and you can make the final decision. Musical selection is extremely important to setting the mood for the movie and we'll use our experience to help you in this area.

How many photos can you fit to a song?
This really depends on the length of the song and the tempo of the music. Each of our movies is customized for the chosen song(s). For a 3 minute song, we typically use between 30-50 photos. We strongly suggest including video clips, so you must consider this as well. We often use portions of multiple songs in a movie.

How do you choose which photos to use?
First, we follow any requests and advice the client gives us. Next we look for photos that are in focus with good lighting. We'll try to use the shots that best capture the emotion and activity.

What transitions and effects do you use?
We have the option of using hundreds of fun transitions and effects. However, it is our philosophy that too much of these things take away from the photos and video being shown. We want the audience to be captivated by the photo or video itself, not the effects. You won't see many noticeable transitions in Hollywood movies - they are often a sign of an amateur production. We try to have the most fun with transitions and effects during the titles and credits of the movie, where it is not distracting. If you have some specific requests, please let us know.

How much of my home videos can you fit on a single DVD?
We can include up to 2 hours of video on a single DVD without losing quality.

Will your DVD play in my DVD player?
Sunny Days DVD uses the common DVD-R format. This format is compatible with approximately 95% of all existing DVD players. You must verify that your DVD player supports DVD-R. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.

How long will my project take to complete?
Typically, a project will take 2-3 weeks. We can give you an estimated completion date at your initial consultation. Please let us know of any deadlines you have at that time. We can prioritize projects with a tight schedule.

Do I get to make changes to the DVD after it is completed?
We want our clients to be satisfied. After receiving your DVD, you must contact us within one week with any changes you want to make. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.

Can I get copies of the DVD to give to friends and family?
